BAPTISMS

Baptisms are the 2nd & 4th Sundays of each month at 1:30 PM.  Baptismal Preparation class must be taken before the Baptism and should be taken before the birth of the baby. The class meets periodically throughout the year.  Please call the Rectory 732-449-5765, ext 192 to arrange for class or Baptism.

MARRIAGES

Those planning marriage should notify the pastor at least one year in advance.  The Church sees marriage in one's own parish as the most proper arrangement, therefore, people who reside in St. Catharine - St. Margaret Parish have a right to be married here.  Others should receive the sacrament in their own parishes.  The bride, the groom, or their parents must be registered and living in St. Catharine's parish for at least one year.  Pre-Cana or Engaged Encounter Weekend is required as is participation in FOCCUS; a self-diagnostic inventory designed to help couples learn more about themselves and their unique relationship.  Please call the rectory 732-449-5765, ext. 166 for arrangements.

For those contemplating marriage the following items are available for printing from this web site.

WEDDING MUSIC SEMINAR

In order to assist all couples who will be married here during the year, music seminars are offered periodically. These seminars include organ, flute, and trumpet presentations, as well as a number of cantors who demonstrate appropriate musical selections for our Wedding Masses and ceremonies. It is very important for our wedding couples to learn the various musical options available to them through our music department. All bridal couples will receive a letter from Sr. Mary Ann O'Connor approximately three months before their registered wedding date. We request a return of the registration form enclosed with the letter as soon as possible after its receipt. Please call Sr. Mary Ann O'Connor 732-449-5765, ext. 103.
